So yeah my whole "battle plan" for playing online hasnt started yet. Could be awhile.
If I can't get a loan of 3-5k to play online with, ill have to build it myself. Now ive got about $2000 to play live poker with at the moment.
Im hoping during the next few weeks ill be playing alot at Casino Rama at 1/2 and 2/5..... I need to make at least 5k I think, should be enough to take online.
Ive been somewhat fortunate playing at rama lately, hopefully the good luck continues for me and I make some nice profit.
Been playing a bit of roulette too... the devils game. Well all casino games minus poker are the devils games, you can never win (in long run) and they are so-so-SO fun to play.
Ever played roulette just playing B/R? omfg I went up and down making $100 bets but eventually ended with a sizable profit. I was tilted a bit due to long wait lists and normally never play pit games, but I wanted to gambol a bit. I think I made like $300 in the end after like 8-10 bets or so, running HOT IMO at luckyyyy.
Peace for now, will update more once actually playing more online poker.

mmmmm wonderful
Well I suffered quite a large downswing on full tilt, I withdrew most of my funds. I dropped to about $1300, I withdrew $1200 and still have $100 left to mess around with.
Mainly also the canadian dollar sucks so $1200 is like ~$1500 canadian or so, its quite nice.
Im just going to wait 1 more week, this friday im getting a loan of $5000 on pokerstars to play some hardcore 100nl multitabling, im so excited its like wahwahweewah time to party sexy time!!!!
I honestly cant wait, pokerstars is, by far, my favorite site to play poker at.... it always has been.
The money I withdrew today is going into my pocket, the 5k im getting was long overdue and I do intend to pay it back, over a long period of time that ive worked out with my mom... $500 a month once I get rolling maybe ill start paying in december? probably january though once im a supernova.... the extra bonuses alone of being a supernove will cover the entire $500 I need so.... thats fantastic.
summary: taking 1 week break from poker, have $1200 in my wallet basically, happy as a fuck, going to play for a living in 1 week on Stars with 5k BR @ 100nl.

Oops,been awhile.
What up all.
I havnt posted in this for awhile, been busy and stuff.
I deposited $50 bucks onto full tilt poker for the CC events over the next few weeks, I needed like $20 or so for them all so I played around with the rest. I lost $25 of it and only had $25 left for the events, I said damn it all and tried a $24 tournament well I finished 3rd I think and suddenly I had $230-ish.
That was about 10 days ago, now ive got a bankroll of $2,250 on full tilt. Its pretty awesome im 6 tabling 100nl and its pretty profitable. Its not the most comfortable roll for 100nl but its satisfactory for now. I really just want to build up my roll as much as possible before I start playing with $5000 on Pokerstars next month.
Ill post some seriously awesome hands later, im just posting to keep this blog active and updated. I swear next month and on this blog will be updated every 2-3 days with tons of new content and insight by me.
Poker is a fun game.

Soon the time will be at hand
Ok so ive been waiting for a long time for some money from my mom to back me for a huge deposit. It looks like in about 2 weeks, maybe less, I will get my money.
It will probably be about $5,000. That will give me 50 buy-ins, so ill start off by playing 100nl and 6-8 tables. Should be a solid FPP earner and I should be able to grind a decent winrate playing at these limits as they are infested with fish.
Im really, really excited. I can honestly say ive never TRUELY been playing with proper BRM, sure sometimes I have plyed with 15-20 buyins on cakepoker playing 100nl, when I had about 3k on cake I played 200nl though.... and each loss hurt.
At least at 100nl and 50 buyins its not like 1 loss will hurt really, the psychological effect of the money does not come into question. You just play your best, during optimal times and hours, not tired or stoned. Im 98% sure I will be able to win at a steady rate, its just not that hard.
Because the majority of my cash play was on Cake, I dont think it supported a HUD afaik. I still do not use a HUD now. Mainly because I have not been playing seriously well, ever. Plus ive only been playing 4 tables max, its truely not hard to monitor every opponent to determine what type of player they are when you have this little to monitor.
Rest assured though im getting holdem manager(HEM) when I start this playing on pokerstars, I know how to use it, I downloaded a tutorial from Deucescracked (har har I r smart) and it shows sooooo well how to set it up to perfection.
So. Excited. Im counting the days, though I think to send the money to pokerstars it will take like 4-5 days too though to ship them money to the Isle of Man or wherever it is, god im so thankful that I was born with an insane amount of patience - what a good trait to have for poker.

This is a pretty decent hand. Pretty good value bet imo. The guy was spewy as hell, calling station, you love these players.
Villian had K3. Just wow.
My reraise pre was too small, otherwise a superb result.
25NL, never gunna fold here obv, just a standard....well... its not that standard, its a fucking cooler. The bitch laughed at me after and was like TY TY TY TY TY like go fuck yourself.....skank!
What the hell??? I miss my FD and my 5's are good? I laughed.
Soulread? I dont know, I didnt put him on the K I just had feeling by the way he was playing beforehand, plus the weird river shove it just smelled fishy. Plus I has a pair. :)
ARGG I played this fucking wrong, somehow. Checking the flop was kind of my set plan even though I normally cont bet here like 80% of the time against this player for sure, perhaps he thought i was trapping or something (this is all what I thought) but he was infact trapping me with set of 7's. I thought that he though his 1010-KK was good here because ive been opening alot of pots, reraising not too much but solid amount. He reraise was such a downer, I knew that he would just call most likely if he thought he was still ahead by a significant amount, the raise just increased the chance that I was totally crushed - I still couldnt bring myself to fold after my bet. Either way there isnt much to discuss about this hand its a "cooler" so to speak, the big fault with this hand was the reraise pre was still too small, i should have popped it to 8 and charge him for it.
Well, its near the end of august.
I have yet to aqquire my $10,000 from my parents for playing poker as a amature career, its not a shocker though. The cause for the delay is that our house has not sold, next month we will probably reduce it to maybe $575,000 to interest some more buyers - summer is slow for real estate.
Well, until that happens I am thinking what to do whilst I wait. I deposited $100 to play some 25nl and $10 SnG's. Poor BRM, but whatever its just something to keep me busy.
Currently sitting at about $240 now, running hot in cash games. Ill post some hands later but its not sucking out, just hitting sets and flushes, getting my money in good with AA/KK etc. Very nice I like.
So I played ALOT today (deposit was yesterday) and ive been up and down like a yo-yo, so got a little heated and decided to quit for a bit (set over set does that when ur on the receiving end).
I had earned about 400 FPP so I played the 300 FPP game, 20 players, for the 5000 FPP turbo takedown seat. Well, I took the sattalite down, I played real good and felt that I could do no wrong - getting good cards helped too.
Now im happy that I hopefully added another $90 minimum to my bankroll, as the turbo takedown is 11000-12000 players and it pays 4000 spots, 100k to the winner, pretty nice.
Wow I havnt updated this in a longtime, ill add some hands later like I said.

Update.
Well I dont have too much to add at the moment.... to the guy that asked in the comment about CALL OF DUTY 4, I play on PS3. My sign name is IPlayCards4Food.
My life is currently quite boring, I deposited $50 on cakepoker and played a few tournaments before getting to $500 or so...
As you can imagine I was quite happy with my results but it wasnt ment to be I guess. I donked off alot of the money on more tournaments and playing 100nl, I run so bad lol.
I should have played 50nl... maybe even 25nl but cake poker is just so fishy I wanted to play hiiiighhherrr, BEEEEEP wrong answer.
Its no big deal. I can handle losing my profits, its a part of the game, it just sucks.
If anyone knows anything about poker, its that it truely takes money to make money. If you have a bankroll of $100 and grind away at 10nl or less, its going to be slow and ponderous. I personally have played 50nl-400nl at different points of this year, and my comfort zone is 200nl. I decided on 200nl because it seems to be the ideal limit if you want to make a living playing online poker. A good mix of solid players, and loose fish. (More solid players but you just need to find out how to exploit them).
Well if anyone remembers im waiting on a loan I guess you can call it, from my mom. I asked her if she would help me get started playing 200nl, in order to do that I need about $10,000 if im going to play 6-8 tables professionally. Professionally as in im doing nothing else, concentrating on my game and playing poker poker poker for at least 8 hours per day. This 10k will give me 50 buy-ins, a recommended safety net if im playing with $1200-$1600 on the tables at once. Now ive played 200nl before with about $1500-2000 (not smart) and its brutal if you take a beat and lose your stack, but its really just mental in my opinion, if I have 10k to use I doubt it will affect me.
Some may not like this but to me this is my dream, I want to build up a massive bankroll online and achieve supernova status on PokerStars. Also I fully entend to pay her back once I get established, there is no time limit when I need to though, so no pressure whatsoever.
We are selling our lakefront house on lake simcoe if anyone is curious HOW my mom could just hand over $10k, its worth about $600,000. We are moving simply because my mom wants a newer house, more modern, this house is cottage-like and we dont even have a boat anymore (sold) so she doesnt seem to want to stay. Its fine with me, I dont really swim or anything so could care less if we live on the lake or not.
Gah this is such a close reality yet it seems so far away, its so emotionally devastating when you find something you truely want to do with your life, yet you cannot do it. This is my calling, ive never been this interested in a specific hobby before in my life. If I knew I was a losing player I would not even waste my time typing this.

Robbed of a possible FT.
Well ive been playing alot of Call of Duty 4 modern warfare.... sweet game online... im pretty good in the deathmatches of 8 people I usually finish top 2.
I messed around and played a $20 180 man tourney on Stars last night, it was going quite fantastic.
AK nomnomnom
QQ hero call
33 nice nice
KQ POWWWEERRRR
This was the killer hand below.... blinds were getting high, if I won this pot I would go up to 3rd place instead of like 15th place out of the remaining 19 players... yes I bubbled.

The waiting game sucks.
The waiting game.....
[ ] is awesome
[x] melts your brain
Its increasingly annoying that im not playing, its not like I have an "addiction" and need to play poker for lack of a better term id call it "dedication". I havnt played seriously in like 2-3 weeks, ive been doing other things, set up my trampoline, had my birthday with friends and got smashed... I have no job though so they majority of my day is lazing around doing nothing (also I live 30 minutes away from nearest pop. over 20,000).
I want to become dedicated to grinding out poker money/fpps. To be, thats just step 1 on the path to becoming a super cash game player. Also its a job, I job that I would enjoy playing. If I felt that I had no confidence in my play then I would not be drawn to playing poker full-time.
Not really much else to add, it will be 2 weeks at least before I get my funds onto Stars, booerns. IM SO BORED IIIIIEEEEEEEEeee!!!!!!!!!!!

Money, money money money!
Well im chomping at the bit for my future stake from my mom, its going to be my first time ever depositing a large amount, I usually always deposit a small amount and build up then withdraw.
I like this because there will be no withdrawing until I show a profit to withdraw! Simple. If I deposited $100 before, ran it up to like $700 and withdrew $600 id be back to a pitiful $100 to use, and if I dont steamroll the cash tables it is gone rather quick.
When you start at say $3,000... you can build to $4,500 and withdraw $1,500, leaving yourself 3k still to play with. Going on you could suffer a $1000 loss one week, then next week win $2000 back! It just leaves a massive amount of room for the obvious varience that comes with playing poker as a job.
It might be alot quicker than 1 month before I get the $3,000.... I think my ability to be ridiculously patient will pay off, I just need to occupy myself with things non-poker related for about 2 weeks.
There is no time limit as to when I need to pay the 3k back to her either, plus unlike real staking, theres no cut of my winnings I need to give back, just what I took initially. Honestly if I did lose 3k id probably stop playing (and not owe it back most likely).
But I do not wish that obviously, I want to get on a steady and consistant profit pace.
Once ive established that pace, I want to keep it going for longer than 1 month as I did on cakepoker.... it would have gone on much longer but I decided to take the money out.
My overall goal? To be able to...
A) Make significant withdraws monthly.
B) Achieve a year long winning session (minimum) and earn supernova status.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Well as you can imagine I didnt win the $12,500 package, went out rather early like 6000-ish.
But in the end it didnt even fucking matter if I was running like god.
Id say oh, 3 hours or so after I busted the power went out, ok thats fine it was raining a little but not much of a storm or anything. I assumed it would probably come back on in 5-10 minutes which would have been fine.
After a fucking loonnggggg wait, the power came back on at 12:30 am - so it was out for about 6 hours.
I was fucking doomed from the beginning to lose sadly, the tournament took about 9 hours, and I would have got my power back when the tournament ended, rendering it impossible to succeed in any way.
So basically just burned $370 for fun. Sweet, nice birthday present thanks parents!
I managed to get silverstar on pokerstars this month, it only took about 4 days of cashgame play. So fun playing with like $150 dollars playing 50nl, playing 3 tables with your roll on the line.
I have to play pretty nit not to go bust, thus when I do win hands its actually with big hands only, not much mixing it up.
Through trial and error im quickly finding out 2 things about my poker play. Critical things.
I love cash games and show considerable and more inportantly consistant profit most of the time I play. (not tired/drunk/high) The only big leak I find is playing hands like AJ/KQ/KJ suited etc in EP or OOP to a raiser, ive calculated that its best to just fold. - will fix immediately.
I like touraments but for some reason for every small win like $500 here, $800 here, most of the time im bleeding money profusely. Ive probably made about $4k from cash games, and lost about $3k playing tournaments overall. Wonderful?
My mom said she would stake me if I did not get mad or yell which I have done before when I lose. I tell her fine but I need some way to unleash my anger when I do have a big losing session or bad beats galore.
We decided that I would get staked for $3,000 and play $100nl plus I would buy a punching bag +gloves and hang it in the garage to use instead of swearing loudly every word in the book. I must say I do not do this often and when I do its because im not rolled for what im playing and I become frustrated because its impossible to take upswings and d0wnsw0ngs.
To me this seems like a superb oppertunity, I have a fairly good sample size of hands to show im a winning player at cash, losing player in tournaments. 30 buy-ins for 100nl would be amazing.... the only time ive had more than 3k cash was on cakepoker, and I withdrew most of it, and tournaments ATE most of it! Definately the most mis-managed withdraw ive ever made.
So im thinking if I JUST play cash and play my A game, why on earth would I not succeed?
Exceptions would be if I managed to win a seat to a $55 tourney, or $215 tourney. (Both of these consumed about $1.5-2k so far) and if I win the seat I must play. Also im only allowed 1 try to win the seat, if I fail I will not spend multiple amounts trying to get in/buy in completely. I will simply not play, as it wasnt ment to be.
I will not even consider lesser tournaments.
I think my plan is sure-fire, as long as I stick the rules I explained above I will be successful. Ive got probably a month or so before I get staked by her anyway, shes waiting on some money to arrive.
NO MORE DAMN TOURNAMENTS!
But in the end it didnt even fucking matter if I was running like god.

Forgot about this lol
Well its not like I forgot, but I just didnt feel like posting much.
Im on a hiatus from poker as im short on cash to play. I played a bit on pokerstars and currently am, but its a bit unlucky how its going. Im doing the $10 sngs, some 180's and 18's.
Straight over set, 2 outers and such have been plaguing me and ive consistantly lost all day. Its annoying more than anything because im always ahead, then behind. I enjoy being ahead all the time but I wouldnt mind losing the bad luck that keeps thwarting my plans of victory.
Im so excited to try the big $370 event on the 15th.... it would blow my mind if I got the luck you need to get deep in tourneys, hands hold up etc. $12500 is like not life changing but it is certainly bankroll changing.
Im currently trying to sat. in for cheap, but if that fails I will simply buy into it, ive been waiting all month I wouldnt miss it for the world :D

Oh and this hand....
Aahahahahah oh jesus I have to add this too.
This was another $10 sit and go, same one.
Late in it, ive got about 1900 chips blind are 50/100 I think.
Delt AQ in middle pos, had 2 others in the pot too with me.
Flop comes Q4Q, im thinking WA WA WEE WA look at this, all my chips will somehow get in.
first raiser raised to like 300 or something, I called. the other guy called too.
Turn was an 9 or something, The guy bets 600, i called, the other guy called.
Im thinking like, what beats me? 44 and 99? like what are the odds.
River is a K, now im like ok so kk,44,99
all in, allin, allin. im pot commited what else would I do.
What do you think they turned over? Initial raiser turns over 44 for flopped full house, the other guy turns over KK for rivered full house. Im left scratching my head wondering where I went wrong.

What the.....
Well I had an interesting day of play yesterday. Interesting as in very shitty.
Example, since ive managed to donk off most of my bankroll, ive dropped down to "playable" levels at least for me.
One of my favorable games are the $10+$1 sng's on stars, fuck the turbos - the 10 min ones are way more exploitable imo even if card dead. Choices are 18 seat, 27 seat, or the slower running 45 seat ones.
I love these, very weak opposition, you can mix it up too, catch some big monster flops and let the lagtards destroy themselves.
Anyways with a small bankroll like mine these are perfect, I decided to hit up the 27 seater.
Im doing ok, made a monster play with AA, checked the river when he checked, I just sensed strength from him, and of course he had caught runner-runner straight, lost the minimum.
Later ill try to remember this hand, im delt KK with the blinds at 75/150 and my stack a gruesome low at 1200, I just wasnt getting any love from the deck. UNTIL NOW!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEE I thought, this will be a double up.
Short stack moves in with Qs 10h for about 750 chips. Folds to me in late pos, I go all-in for my 1200.
Now, button moves all in too..... with JJ.
Im thinking, allll right, maybe if my hand holds im going to be facing a triple-up.
Flop: 8 J x Turn: x Riv: 9
So the Q10 guy ends up with the biggest fortune with his straight, wonderful. Sucks even more for the guy hitting his set and getting owned.
Dissapointing but hardly surprising. Given its 2 other players im a favorite but only marginal, I expected to win but not shocked when I didnt.
Soooo I manged to lose another 2 games and lost most of my small bankroll again. I dont really think Im going to keep playing until I can make a formidable deposit, perhaps on my birthday in june.
One thing I am trying though is the WSOP 200 seat giveaway, buyin is $350+$20. Prize pool is 2.5 million obviously from the 200 main event seats.
This will be loooooaded with donks and good players, if I play it properly I could wind up with a nice bankroll of $12,500. Ive told myself that if I can take this down and win a ME seat (the money) I will withdraw $6000 for personal use, and leave $6,500 on pokerstars so I can start playing what I love to play, cash games.
I greatly enjoy cash to tournament play, however I have found FR 1/2 on Stars to be tougher than say, cake poker's 1/2 FR cash.
If I had a bankroll of $6,500 to play with, I would most certainly play .50/1. It seems fishy, at least moreso than 1/2.... I can name off so many regs without even looking at PT.
65 buy-ins would be glorious, what a nice cushion! If I can beat that level after about 3-4 months of play ill perhaps move up to 1/2 but im getting ahead of myself.
First goal is to dominate that 200 ME seat tourney, I know its costly and a big tournament considering my dwindling bankroll, but I see no greater oppertunity than this. The main thing is I will not be playing with scared money, it will most likely be a birthday gift, so ill just play smart like I usually do? simple.

Hmmmm
Well, like most tourneys once I make the money I increase my aggressiveness, in order to reach the final table.
In the tourney yesterday I managed to JUSt make the money, in 53rd place (top 54 got paid)
Kinda shitty, heres the situation....
Blinds were 1600/800 I believe.... I had a 13,000 stack AND was the big blind, so technically 11,400.
Delt QJ suited hearts.
A raise from EP to 4800.... all folds to me.... Im thinking, im going to need to push back all in, there really is no point in folding as im one of the short stacks. If I want any chance of succeeding in this tourney im going to need to make a move.
Now if it was raise, re-raise, then back to me, it would be an instafold imo.
Anyway it wasnt, and I pushed back, he turns over AJ suited clubs. He actually took awhile to call because we had just entered the money and I had been playing pretty tight (card dead)
Obviously I didnt improve and was out.
Im actually running quite low on money, online I have virtually nothing, and offline I dont have much more to deposit if needed. Pokerstars has swallowed most of my Cake Poker cashout which was $2400. (2 deposits of $600 + $215 for a sunday mil)
True I was playing 1/2 with it, so its moderately risky, but since I had been doing that on cake for 2 months I was soooo used to it, the players on Cake are certainly worse.
Cakes software sucks though so I really wanted to go back to pokerstars, its just so damn soft at cake ahhhhhh, a real conundrum. When I say cake's software sucks, im not being nice to them because its true. Their software is so goddamn shitty, its hard for me to describe it in worse.
Lets just say that, chips disappear, screen will freeze, games will lock up, text bugs beyond your wildest dreams... the list goes on.
I run a bot-program for an MMORPG called Lineage II. If you know this game then you know its a grindfest and 80% of the players use a bot program to "level" their characters. Essentially its just killing the same monsters over and over for days and days just to get 1 level.
If you do not bot you need to dedicate 8-10 hours a day playing, killing the same mobs over and over. Fuck that, lol. I love the PVP (player vs player) fighting element of the game, and the graphics are quite superb, its just the monster killing that sucks. Anyway my character is level 37 now after about 2 weeks of botting but that is hardly the point.
I tried to play a free roll on cake, well its you pay 1 gold card (ive collected sooooo many gold cards) and you get a chance to win 60 seats to the sunday $150,000 guar tourney. (value $164)
The software was the worst ive ever seen it, it totally annihilated cake, literally you could not see the table, it was so graphic glitchy. I almost wanted to lose so I didnt have to play anymore on it.
PS/UB/FT all work perfect when im running Lineage II, its just cake sucks so bad it can't handle it.
Damn im really dissing cake considering how much I like the bad players on there. However since I started botting on L2 I cant play on cake, just wont happen, I run the L2 program 24/7.

Tournaments, they eat money?
So much variance in tourneys, im currently in a $24 one on FTP.
So far ive made good laydowns, soulreads, and stacked a guy. Its a good start, but sometimes I find myself asking if its worth it.
Alot of the time you do not cash in tourneys, thats just how it works, ask anyone for their stats over a year. When you do cash, its a minor amount usually unless you go deeeeeeeeeeep. If you manage to get into the elite top 9, even still its not that great until top 5.
Sick! so sick! -phil laak
Honestly I prefer cash games immensly, more skilled players sadly but the reward is much greater.
Annnnnnd there, i doubled up again to 10.5k huzzah. 61th place.
Im going for 1st, thats just how its going down. I need the cash.... in order to play cashgames instead of these damn moneysuckers!
I just feel honestly that I will acheive greatness from sticking to them, even though suffering a -$1.200 downswing I still will stick with them, I can safely say ive blown 2k on big tourneys with no success, its called lack of BRM.
