Well ive been playing alot of Call of Duty 4 modern warfare.... sweet game online... im pretty good in the deathmatches of 8 people I usually finish top 2.
I messed around and played a $20 180 man tourney on Stars last night, it was going quite fantastic.
AK nomnomnom
QQ hero call
33 nice nice
KQ POWWWEERRRR
This was the killer hand below.... blinds were getting high, if I won this pot I would go up to 3rd place instead of like 15th place out of the remaining 19 players... yes I bubbled.

The waiting game sucks.
The waiting game.....
[ ] is awesome
[x] melts your brain
Its increasingly annoying that im not playing, its not like I have an "addiction" and need to play poker for lack of a better term id call it "dedication". I havnt played seriously in like 2-3 weeks, ive been doing other things, set up my trampoline, had my birthday with friends and got smashed... I have no job though so they majority of my day is lazing around doing nothing (also I live 30 minutes away from nearest pop. over 20,000).
I want to become dedicated to grinding out poker money/fpps. To be, thats just step 1 on the path to becoming a super cash game player. Also its a job, I job that I would enjoy playing. If I felt that I had no confidence in my play then I would not be drawn to playing poker full-time.
Not really much else to add, it will be 2 weeks at least before I get my funds onto Stars, booerns. IM SO BORED IIIIIEEEEEEEEeee!!!!!!!!!!!

Money, money money money!
Well im chomping at the bit for my future stake from my mom, its going to be my first time ever depositing a large amount, I usually always deposit a small amount and build up then withdraw.
I like this because there will be no withdrawing until I show a profit to withdraw! Simple. If I deposited $100 before, ran it up to like $700 and withdrew $600 id be back to a pitiful $100 to use, and if I dont steamroll the cash tables it is gone rather quick.
When you start at say $3,000... you can build to $4,500 and withdraw $1,500, leaving yourself 3k still to play with. Going on you could suffer a $1000 loss one week, then next week win $2000 back! It just leaves a massive amount of room for the obvious varience that comes with playing poker as a job.
It might be alot quicker than 1 month before I get the $3,000.... I think my ability to be ridiculously patient will pay off, I just need to occupy myself with things non-poker related for about 2 weeks.
There is no time limit as to when I need to pay the 3k back to her either, plus unlike real staking, theres no cut of my winnings I need to give back, just what I took initially. Honestly if I did lose 3k id probably stop playing (and not owe it back most likely).
But I do not wish that obviously, I want to get on a steady and consistant profit pace.
Once ive established that pace, I want to keep it going for longer than 1 month as I did on cakepoker.... it would have gone on much longer but I decided to take the money out.
My overall goal? To be able to...
A) Make significant withdraws monthly.
B) Achieve a year long winning session (minimum) and earn supernova status.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Well as you can imagine I didnt win the $12,500 package, went out rather early like 6000-ish.
But in the end it didnt even fucking matter if I was running like god.
Id say oh, 3 hours or so after I busted the power went out, ok thats fine it was raining a little but not much of a storm or anything. I assumed it would probably come back on in 5-10 minutes which would have been fine.
After a fucking loonnggggg wait, the power came back on at 12:30 am - so it was out for about 6 hours.
I was fucking doomed from the beginning to lose sadly, the tournament took about 9 hours, and I would have got my power back when the tournament ended, rendering it impossible to succeed in any way.
So basically just burned $370 for fun. Sweet, nice birthday present thanks parents!
I managed to get silverstar on pokerstars this month, it only took about 4 days of cashgame play. So fun playing with like $150 dollars playing 50nl, playing 3 tables with your roll on the line.
I have to play pretty nit not to go bust, thus when I do win hands its actually with big hands only, not much mixing it up.
Through trial and error im quickly finding out 2 things about my poker play. Critical things.
I love cash games and show considerable and more inportantly consistant profit most of the time I play. (not tired/drunk/high) The only big leak I find is playing hands like AJ/KQ/KJ suited etc in EP or OOP to a raiser, ive calculated that its best to just fold. - will fix immediately.
I like touraments but for some reason for every small win like $500 here, $800 here, most of the time im bleeding money profusely. Ive probably made about $4k from cash games, and lost about $3k playing tournaments overall. Wonderful?
My mom said she would stake me if I did not get mad or yell which I have done before when I lose. I tell her fine but I need some way to unleash my anger when I do have a big losing session or bad beats galore.
We decided that I would get staked for $3,000 and play $100nl plus I would buy a punching bag +gloves and hang it in the garage to use instead of swearing loudly every word in the book. I must say I do not do this often and when I do its because im not rolled for what im playing and I become frustrated because its impossible to take upswings and d0wnsw0ngs.
To me this seems like a superb oppertunity, I have a fairly good sample size of hands to show im a winning player at cash, losing player in tournaments. 30 buy-ins for 100nl would be amazing.... the only time ive had more than 3k cash was on cakepoker, and I withdrew most of it, and tournaments ATE most of it! Definately the most mis-managed withdraw ive ever made.
So im thinking if I JUST play cash and play my A game, why on earth would I not succeed?
Exceptions would be if I managed to win a seat to a $55 tourney, or $215 tourney. (Both of these consumed about $1.5-2k so far) and if I win the seat I must play. Also im only allowed 1 try to win the seat, if I fail I will not spend multiple amounts trying to get in/buy in completely. I will simply not play, as it wasnt ment to be.
I will not even consider lesser tournaments.
I think my plan is sure-fire, as long as I stick the rules I explained above I will be successful. Ive got probably a month or so before I get staked by her anyway, shes waiting on some money to arrive.
NO MORE DAMN TOURNAMENTS!

Forgot about this lol
Well its not like I forgot, but I just didnt feel like posting much.
Im on a hiatus from poker as im short on cash to play. I played a bit on pokerstars and currently am, but its a bit unlucky how its going. Im doing the $10 sngs, some 180's and 18's.
Straight over set, 2 outers and such have been plaguing me and ive consistantly lost all day. Its annoying more than anything because im always ahead, then behind. I enjoy being ahead all the time but I wouldnt mind losing the bad luck that keeps thwarting my plans of victory.
Im so excited to try the big $370 event on the 15th.... it would blow my mind if I got the luck you need to get deep in tourneys, hands hold up etc. $12500 is like not life changing but it is certainly bankroll changing.
Im currently trying to sat. in for cheap, but if that fails I will simply buy into it, ive been waiting all month I wouldnt miss it for the world :D
